screencasting

Here are some free web based applications (i.e. you don't have to install stuff) that busy educators can use to create engaging presentations. Both Viddix & ScreenToaster combine video with either what's on your screen or a synchronized slide presentation. See examples below. Alternatively you can create what's called a "slidecast" using http://www.slideshare.net/. Simply upload you powerpoint presentation you want to share, then use the online tools at your disposal to add a voice-over /narrative to accompany the slides. Simple, easy to use and effective.
